Green Tourism

Compton Pool is surrounded by the countryside of South Devon which plays host to a variety of flora and fauna. We are dedicated to protecting our beautiful 14-acre grounds for our guests to enjoy. It is also important to us that our business is respectful to the planet as a whole.

We are proud to have become the first 5 star property in Devon to receive a Green Tourism Gold Award in December 2006. We are constantly trying to become a more eco-friendly location by encouraging recycling, energy conservation and asking our guests to get involved in our green initiatives.

Our environmental policy was constructed so our business works in harmony with the local wildlife. We have recently received a Wildlife Report from the South Hams District Council. This describes in detail the plants and animals that inhabit our grounds and the local area, along with where to find them and how to protect them.
