Compton Pool Farm win Silver at the England Tourism 'Oscars'!
Ann & John Stocks were presented with their 5th regional and national award at the 'Tourism Oscars' held at Liverpool on St. Georges Day. They collected their Silver Award for Self-Catering holiday of the Year 2008 at the lavish ceremony held in the St. Georges Hall in the 2008 European City of Culture.
Having won the Gold Award for the South West region in October 2007, Compton Pool Farm were entered as the South West regions ambassadors for the highest accolade in Tourism.
To be presented with Silver is a fantastic achievement after only 2 years since the cottages and facilities underwent a dramatic refurbishment.
Ann & John are delighted with this latest award, their best yet, and are honoured that their own industry has recognised their committment to quality and customer sevice.
Since being entered for the awards, they have just completed the development of a new visitor reception and the Farmhouse, now available for rental, has just been awarded 5 stars by visitBritain, in line with all the other cottages.

The stunning grounds and gardens are a particular feature of Compton Pool Farm in South Devon. There are 14 acres, all of which is available to stroll around at your leisure. Two of the 5 lakes are well stocked with fish, including mirror carp, common carp, rudd, roach and tench and are ideal for a fishing holiday in Devon.
The orchard houses friendly goats, pot bellied pigs and chickens and are a source of great joy to children and adults alike. The whole area is abundant with wildlife, especially birdlife including heron, kingfisher, woodpeckers, moorhens, ducks and geese.
Compton Pool Farm is truly rural yet easily accessible to many clean and safe beaches, the National Park of Dartmoor, an array of tourist attractions for all the family and a good selection of supermarkets and shops.
